Visiting Us
We are open Monday and Thursday from 10am to 9pm, and Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 5pm. We are closed on Sundays.
Holiday hours can be different, so please call ahead if you are planning a special trip.
Yes. Customer parking is available at the store, and our team is happy to help you carry your fabric out to the car.
Of course. Tell us what you are making, and we will help you pick the right fabric, how much to buy and what notions you will need. Bringing your pattern is a big help.
Fabric and Notions
Most fabric is sold by the yard and cut to order. The smallest cut we make is a quarter yard, which is about nine inches.
Yes. Small swatches are free in the store. If you cannot visit, call us and we can mail a few swatches to you.
In most cases, yes. Wash and dry it the same way you plan to care for the finished piece, so it does not shrink later. Silks, wools and some specialty fabrics are best dry-cleaned, so ask us about the fabric you are buying.
Yes. We carry bridal satins, French lace, tulle, silks and designer trims. Walk-ins are welcome, and you are also welcome to call and ask when the store is quietest.
Classes
Yes. We hold small classes for beginners, garment fitting and bridal details. New dates are announced on our email list, or you can call the store to ask.
Beginner classes include a machine to use during class. For other classes, please bring your own machine, and call us if you are not sure what to bring.
Orders and Returns
Fabric cut to order is final sale. Unopened buttons, thread, notions and trims can be returned within 14 days with your receipt. You can read all the details in our Terms & Conditions.
Yes. We can ship cut fabric and notions within the United States. Call us with what you need, and we will quote the shipping before anything is sent.
We do. Gift cards are available in any amount at the store, and they make a great gift for anyone who sews.
