Privacy Policy

Who we are

A Fabric Place (“we”, “us”) is a retail fabric store at 6324 Falls Road in Baltimore, Maryland. This policy explains what information we collect when you shop with us, call us, join our email list or visit this website, and how we use it.

Information we collect

We collect only the information you choose to give us, plus a small amount of basic website data:

• Contact details such as your name, email address and phone number when you join our email list, sign up for a class or ask us a question.
• Purchase records such as what you bought and when. Card payments are handled by our payment processor, and we do not keep your full card number.
• Website data such as the pages you visit, your browser and your device type, collected through basic analytics.

How we use your information

• To answer your questions and help with orders, special requests and gift cards.
• To register you for classes and workshops and send you reminders.
• To send our email newsletter, if you have signed up for it.
• To keep our records, meet tax and legal requirements, and improve our store and website.

Our email list

Joining our email list is always your choice. We send a few emails a month about new arrivals, class dates and in-store sales. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you by calling the store.

Cookies

This website uses a small number of cookies to make pages work and to count visits. You can turn cookies off in your browser settings, and the site will still work, though some features may not.

Sharing your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with trusted companies that help us run the store, such as email delivery, payment processing and website hosting, and only so they can do that work for us. We may also share information when the law requires it.

Keeping your information safe

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. We keep email list details until you unsubscribe, and purchase records for as long as tax law requires, usually up to seven years.

Your choices

You may ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it or delete it. Just call or visit the store and we will take care of it.

Children

Our website and email list are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
